Champagne R. Faivre Le Mont Pinson 2019

This wine spends three years on lees. From a single site with a dominance of limestone in the plot. All pinot meunier.

Curiously sweet scents, but the flavour profile is reminiscent of Jura white wines, with some toasty, vanilla-cinnamon profile overlaid. There’s immense richness here but also briny, saline tang throughout, marzipan, fino sherry-like and cool, bright bubbles come late but effective. Very rich, powerful and savoury. Nuttiness galore, and lingering, almost staining the palate with salted cashew and hazelnut. Uniquely styled but works for distinct Champagne. Also, would be a really delicious flat wine, if that happens to you. - The Wine Front
